| Erin
Corcoran Prior to coming to LCHR, Erin was as a staff attorney for the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society in New York City, where she represented detained and non-detained indigent asylum seekers. In New York, Erin also worked on improving the asylum procedures and conditions for unaccompanied minors. Additionally, she spent time in Southern Africa working as a consultant for the United High Commissioner for Refugees where she identified refugees in need of resettlement. Recent publications include, "The Politics of Forced Displacement: A Review of The Price of Indifference: Refugees in Humanitarian Action in the New Century by Arthur C. Helton, by Erin Corcoran and Nadia Yakoob, SAIS Review (Spring 2003) and Asking for a Note from Your Torturer: Corroboration and Authentification Requirements in Asylum, Withholding, and Torture Claims, by Virgil Weibe and Serena Parker with Erin Corcoran and Anna Gallagher, Immigration and Nationality Law Handbook, Vol. 1 (2001-02). She is admitted to the New York State Bar, E.D.N.Y and S.D.N.Y.
